IDNY Meetup at Duravit will be anything but Standard!
Designer Pages is extremely excited to announce yet another impressive lineup of speakers for next month's IDNY meetup at Duravit! Towering subtly above The High Line elevated parkway on the West Side is one of New York City's newest and most fabulous hotels, The Standard. As our featured speaker of the night Todd Schliemann, Polshek Partnership Designer Partner and architect of The Standard, New York, will present an overview of the hotel.
Who said sinks aren't sexy? Duravit, German manufacturer of luxury bathroom furnishings, is out to prove them wrong with the launch of the company's newest collection, PuraVida designed by German firm Phoenix Design. And last but not least, Shawn Brown, Design Director of NY Projects, will share some privileged insights about collaborating on limited edition design collections with some of the international design world's biggest names.

William HaastersGreat showroom - liked being able to chat with the salesman before the meetup. Enjoyed the presentation about the Standard, too. Not crazy about Zaha Hadid's work, however. She's not my favorite architect by a long shot. A one liner.

Would have been more interested in hearing about specific product from the Duravit speaker (sounded like he read a general brochure). Love the idea of a meetup for Architects and Designers and look forward to attending more. Personally I'd prefer to start the presentation earlier and mingle more afterwards. But generally - congrats to the organizers, it was well-done.
